Congratulations to Amber and her family on their new arrival. Gracie was born on April 22nd at 1:48 PM. She was 6 lbs 15 oz and 19 inches long. What a doll!

So as we are all aware, Bunco was at my house (Amber R.) in February. I think a good time was had by all. Once all the guests arrived *ahem- Haleigh, Marcie and Karen* we were ready to par-tay! Here are a few pic's from the night.

Although Emily didn't win the Bunco prize, I think we can all agree that her gift was FAR more valuable...

I had a blast hosting December Bunko! I love Christmas and Christmas decorations - yet never seem to buy myself any! Hoping others were in the same boat as me, I headed to Kirklands and picked out some cute Christmas Decor for the Bunko gifts. I love hanging out with all these awesome chicks!

November Bunco was so fun. I hosted and I put together a clue game. This was what the girls received before we started playing:

Welcome to the Fall House Manor

There has been a murder at the Fall House Manor during a
girls game of Bunco. It is your job to solve the mystery.
There are 15 suspects, 15 possible weapons and 15 locations.
When you are seated their will be an envelope in front of you
please open the envelope and don’t show anyone,
those are your clues. Please mark what is in your envelope
on your clue sheet. When you move to another seat open
that envelope and do the same. Whoever solves the mystery
at the end may win a prize.

My sweet husband and boys were ushers and served us dinner. I was so proud of them, they did such a good job.

The prizes were a knife, clue dvd game, a necklace, a book, quick bread and a dvd. For dinner we had Chili and cornbread and for dessert pumpkin gooey butter cakes. I will post recipes when I get a chance.

Pumpkin Gooey Butter Cakes

Cake: 1 (18 1/4-ounce) package yellow cake mix
1 egg
8 tablespoons butter, melted Filling:
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened 1 (15-ounce) can pumpkin 3 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla 8 tablespoons butter, melted
1 (16-ounce) box powdered sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon 1 teaspoon nutmeg

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Combine the cake mix, egg, and butter and mix well with an electric mixer. Pat the mixture into the bottom of a lightly greased 13 by 9-inch baking pan.

To make the filling: In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and pumpkin until smooth. Add the eggs, vanilla, and butter, and beat together. Next, add the powdered sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and mix well. Spread pumpkin mixture over cake batter and bake for 40 to 50 minutes. Make sure not to overbake as the center should be a little gooey.

Serve with fresh whipped cream.

Variations: For a Pineapple Gooey Cake: Instead of the pumpkin, add a drained 20-ounce can of crushed pineapple to the cream cheese filling. Proceed as directed above.

For a Banana Gooey Cake: Prepare cream cheese filling as directed, beating in 2 ripe bananas instead of the pumpkin. Proceed as directed above.

For a Peanut Butter Gooey Cake: Use a chocolate cake mix. Add 1 cup creamy peanut butter to the cream cheese filling instead of the pumpkin. Proceed as directed above.

Brooke Nelson had her baby on Friday October the 26th at 6:29 pm She was 7 pounds 4oz and 21 inches long. Both mom and baby are doing great. =)

Bunco is almost here. Plan on November 13th at 6:30 pm. I want to get all 4 games in that night. I can't wait to see you all, it's going to be so much fun.

October Bunco

October's bunco was on Oct 16th at Karen's she decorated her house so cute for Halloween. We all dressed up and had a blast. She made potato soup with pumpkin bread bowls and really good pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. Her prizes were Halloween costumes. Thanks Karen we had a ton of fun... Pictures will come soon. :)
